Do you think players have any confidence in Gagne?
....I'm assuming no, and what message does it send when Yost puts him in and he consistently blows games. Does this reinforce player confidence in Yost? How does this help morale in the clubhouse? Sure these guys are professionals, that doesn't preclude them from thinking.
It correlates to any job when management gives people opportunities, and they continue to fail, they stop getting work. It's pretty simple, but as we all know Ned isn't very bright.

Well, in defense to Gagne. His last 10 outings he's only given up 2 runs (unless I'm missing something). That's not bad at all. If Eric blows up next time out, then maybe we'd start seeing a trend. I bet some players don't trust him and some do.

He has had 4 bad outings out of about 17 appearances since coming off the DL. He isn't as bad as people are making it out to be. The thing is though, Ned needs to go back to using him only when behind. Eric seemed to have his most success in those situations.

Well, you must be missing something, because in his last ten outings, he has given up 8 runs. He gave up three twice, and one twice. For the season, he has given up a run in 14 of 40 outings, or lust over 1/3 of the time. 8 of those, or 20% of the time, he has given up multiple runs in an inning.
Seriously, this information isn't hard to find:

Gagne is the last friggin guy anybody should want pitching the 8th inning, and I just do not for the life of me understand why Ned keeps trotting him out there. I know Einy will suggest maybe Melvin is pulling the strings, but the way Gagne is booed, do you really think Melvin wants this constant reminder of his terrible blunder out there on a regular basis? Or do they honestly thnk he is going to turn it around any day now?
Gagne should either be DFA'd, now that the September call-ups are there, or only used in lost causes. In no wat should this guy be used in the playoffs if they make it. Way too much risk Ned (mis) uses him in a critical situation that cannot be made up for.
Yosty (YO-stee) n. A collection of games that the Brewers have lost , where you can look at a piece or pieces of management by Ned Yost and reasonably and logically conclude (based on conventional baseball wisdom and factual information available at the time) that he should have done something differently that could, along with other factors, possibly have changed the outcome of the game.

(Edit: I count 5 of the last 17)
Or, you could say 6 of his last 18, depending on how selective one wants to be with their statistics.
Sadly, this 4 bad outings out of 17 of which you erroneously write is his most successful stretch of the season.

Wether it was 4/17, 5/17, or 6/18, my point still stands he hasn't been bad as made out to be and I think it is becuase people are blinded by the $10 Million. Ned just needs to go back to using Eric in low leverage situations like he was before he got frisky these last two outings. Reist the temptation to put him in with a lead no matter how many straight scoreless appearances he puts up.

Re: Do you think players have any confidence in Gagne?
I know everybody hates blanket statements, but here it goes.
Gagne sucks and anybody who makes a decision to use him in a meaningful situation is a retard. The players know that.
To be proven wrong should be celebrated for it is elevating someone to a new level of understanding and awareness
