I think those odds seem reasonable.  Prince being traded is too high.  Hall being traded is too high.  People dont want him.  I actually think Gagne might come back for half of his salary

You think there is an 80% chance Prince, Hall and Weeks are traded this year.  I bet all three are back on this team next year.  Dont let your hatred cloud the realistic view that Weeks and Prince are probably 2 of our most disciplined hitters while one is our only LH power hitter.  Weeks should not be given up on unless we get a huge upgrade (Durham doesnt count).  Hall just isnt going anywhere because who would want him

Personally I would like to see Prince back next year but he might be our best bargaining chip for getting another quality starting pitcher. I don't think it's possible to trade Weeks, Prince and Hall, the team would be trading away all of their black players and that would not go over very well in the black community. I just don't see the Brewers taking that kind of a chance. If one of the three goes if will probably be Prince if they decide to get another big time pitcher. If they decide to keep Prince and upgrade a position I wouldn't be surprised to see Weeks get traded. Hall would be tough to move unless the Brewers packaged him in a deal and even then they would probably have to agree to pay part of his salary. Any way you look at it though, I just don't see more than one of them being traded.

    Melvin returns 99% +

    Sveum - 50%

Prince traded 25% (He is still a great value after Yr1 Arby)

    CC resigned less than 1%

    Trade Weeks 25%

Exercise Cam's option 75% (currently no better option in the system)

    Gagne returns 50%

Resign Sheets 10% (If it happens a 1 Yr incentive based deal which is very unlikely)

Trade Hart 10% - Fans are confusing a horrible last six weeks with 2+ years of solid production

Trade Hall 20% - Who is going to take that contract, or Suppan's contract for that matter

I believe he had a full no trade through this year, and now he it becomes a partial no trade allowing Suppan to block deals to eight teams for the last two years of his contract

People are Cameron being resigned because there is no one in the system.

Ever hear of free agency? They have to replace someone in the lineup. They have to acquire a top-of-the-order hitter from somewhere. $10 million for a low average/high power/above average defense is way too much.

I'm going to compromise on this one....

This is true. They have to use one of the OF (probably center, but they could move Bruan or Hart there and then fill in a corner) 3B or 2B to get a high OBP player with decent speed for the top of the order.

Depending on who they can get for one of those spots will dictate what they can (or need to) do at any one position.

That I disagree with. Cameron on a 1 year, 10 million dollar deal is a fine use of resources.... IF (and only if) they can fill the need I talked about above in other ways.

But if the right player comes along who to take his place and fits the other criteria, then you can pull the trigger.

Cameron is not the problem for this team. He was part of the reason they got better in the overall picture, so if they can fill the need in another way, brining him back makes perfect sense.

"Melvin may have gotten this franchise out of a hole, but it is painfully clear that this clown cannot build a playoff team. How many more years are you willing to let Melvin continue to trot a team that has no plate disipline, bad basrunning, bad late inning pitching, and contiually chokes when its on the line? Melvin has no clue when it comes to hitters and it shows. Melvin must go if this team is to ever makes the playoffs again.:"

    What are the Odds:

That Brewhawk will run into fellow Blue Duke Craig Counsell at Kopps on a random monday after the season - 100%

(He was actually very friendly tonight, saw me with my Brewers windbreaker and hat, and BHJ with his hat, and smiled and talked with us a bit.  I was a little surprised about this, because every other time I've talked to him, he seems a bit salty.  In fact, I believe this is the first time I have ever seen the guy actually smile)

I grew up going to that place, used to stop their a lot in full uniform after my high school games, and always took a Kopps cheeseburger and fries up to my Grandma's place every time I came home from schools or whatever.  That place has some awesome memories for me and it's always one of my first stops when I get back to town.

I can't remember who it was that was (maybe you) talking about the Kopps double cheeseburger and chocolate banana shake, but I stopped there on my way home from the game on Saturday night and had just that.  I was too nervous/intense to deal with the distraction of eating at the game.  But afterward, I dropped over three bills in the fan zone and headed to Kopps with a growling stomach and almost no voice.

    ;-)  Good Stuff!
