    Re: C.C

He's from the West Coast and probably will end up there. The Angels have made some noise they want CC and so do the Dodgers. Even the Giants are looking into what it would take to get CC to come back home. He grew up in that neck of the woods. But don't count out the Yankees or the Mets, both teams will throw a lot of money CC's way to get him to play on the East Coast. I think it will take $140 mil or more to sign CC.

Here is an example of what I'm talking about.

Angels may look much different in '09

The Angels could be a much different club next season. The Angels will make a strong push to re-sign free-agent first baseman Mark Teixeira, but there is no guarantee the high-priced slugger will return. The Angels will not meet Francisco Rodriguez's desires for a five-year, $75-million deal, and the record-setting closer is expected to leave as a free agent. There is a good chance veteran outfielder Garret Anderson has played his last game as an Angel, and it's doubtful pitcher Jon Garland will be retained, as owner Arte Moreno sheds payroll to make a possible run at free-agent left-hander CC Sabathia.

doubtful the cubs will make a run at c.c  they have dempster and wood to resign.   if harden has surgery as expected and the cubs let dempster walk then maybe.

    Fvckface,

Nobody here gives a rats azz about the fvcking cubs.  Frankly, I typically stay out of your little taunts and arguments most of the time.  But what a fvcking loser you must be to come on this board and talk about the Cubs on as many threads as possible.  It's honestly quite pathetic, and I'm not sure how you don't understand that.

Yosty (YO-stee) n. A collection of games that the Brewers have lost , where you can look at a piece or pieces of management by Ned Yost and reasonably and logically conclude (based on conventional baseball wisdom and factual information available at the time) that he should have done something differently that could, along with other factors, possibly have changed the outcome of the game.

Brewhawk, in the opening post of this thread, the poster mentioned some possible destinations, including the Cubs. Why shouldn't a Cubs fan mention why he doesn't think his team will go after him?

    Calm down.

Red sox- they simply can't afford it, they have to much money even for them in their pitching staff.  Cubs won't they're trying to sell they're team, and already gave harden his deal.  Yankees a good chance, but it would be hard to see them try to get a big hot name pitcher after a bunch of their token free agent busts are coming off they're books this year.  Royals (laughing) Mayb if they release everyone in the farm system, then sell the stadium and play in a local park the rest of the year they have chance.

The legit contenders Angels, Yanks, and Brewers mayb the phills thats it

To be proven wrong should be celebrated for it is elevating someone to a new level of understanding and awareness

I'm not saying you don't have the right to be sometimes.

I appreciate you losing last week in fantasy, by the way.  No I have first place all to myself.  It's much more fun that way.

Even though...you are killing me points-wise.
