Greatest Packer of All Time: Brett "6 tds in a game" Favre

Brag all you want, old timers, but no player in Packer history is better than Brett "6 tds in a game" Favre.

So shouldn't this thread read "Greatest JET of all time"?

No, I mean the worst Packer ever as no player in Packer history is worse than Brett "6 ints in a play-off game" Favre.

And wouldn't this include Brett during HIS career as a Packer?

Jim Taylor, only guy to knock off Jimmy Brown's rushing championships that he won several years in a row.

Closely followed by Bart Starr....can you say 2 MVPs in each SB. Brett didn't even get it in the one he won.

A worthy consideration.  Sorry about your mom, BTW.

However, I would have to put Bart on the top of that list for five good reasons.

p.s. Bart never threw six picks in all of his playoff games, combined.

    Thanks

Can't go wrong with Bart. Probably one of the nicest people too - a gentlemen's gentlemen. My all-time favorite player would be Nitschke although I was too young to see him play, everything I know about him says Packers. Met him once in Racine at an autograph signing.

Even though this is a thread meant to "bait" people.  I get sick of the 1960's Packers.  If Starr and Brett were on the same team, Starr would have his baseball cap turned backwards and would be holding a clipboard on the sidelines for 16 years.  No matter what your thoughts on this whole debacle, I would think you could appreciate how he basically gave us a playoff contender every year for 15 years (except one) in a day and age where that is very tough if not impossible to do (especially after watching these first five games).

I wonder if Brett would have gotten a sniff in an era when quarterbacks had to be smart enough to call their own plays.

The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the club won't be worth a dime. -- Babe Ruth

That's seems to be the only way people argue on this board.  Maybe i am an idiot but give me a reason why?  I dont think one coach in the NFL today would play the great Bart Starr over Brett Favre if both were in their prime.  Enjoy those days of the T formation and 12 passes a game.  My statement still stands.  Now am I supposed to call you something, how does this work?

How hard could that be?  There was probably 10 plays to calland 8 of them were runs.  As long as you have 10 fingers (and for some football players that's not a given) you could call plays.  Football was so complicated 50 years ago, give me a break.
