Some prospects li***ed in article below. The la*** line somewhat puzzled me in that it looks like the badgers have extended 5 qb's an offer and are pursuing another.
In the class of 2009, the Badgers ***ruck gold in the ***. Louis area by land highly toughed prospects Montee Ball and Kraig Appleton.
Fa***-forward a year and Wisconsin is back in ***. Louis courting some of the city's be*** football players.
Thursday night, BadgerBlitz.com caught up with one of those prospects, ***ephen Kaiser, to discuss his current recruitment and his intere*** in the Wisconsin program.
"Right now I have offers from SMU and Colorado ***ate," ***ated the Saint Louis (MO) DeSmet quarterback. "I haven't got an official letter yet, but Wisconsin said they were going to offer me a scholarship."
Kaiser, who ***ands 6-foot-3, 217 pounds, admits he has yet to develop to ***rong relationship with his recruiting coach from Wisconsin, Paul Chry***.
"It's pretty early right now," he said. "I've only spoke with him once over the phone. We are going ***art talking a little more so we can grow our relationship.
"I know it's a great school. Initially I was pretty excited when they began to show some intere*** in me," Kaiser continued. "I really want to learn more about the program. Coach Chry*** told me about the school Web site and I did a little research on my own. I can't wait to go their and meet all the coaches to see what the atmosphere is like."
In the la*** recruiting cycle, Bret Bielema and company showed intere*** in Kaiser's DeSmet teammates E.J. Clark and Devin King.
"DeSmet is a great place to play football," he said. "If you want to get ready for the next level there isn't a better place to play high school football. There are a lot of great players in our program and it's beginning to show."
As a junior, Kaiser was an all-conference selection. He also claims a 4.69 time in the 40-yard dash, a 305-pound max bench press and a 3.3 grade-point average.
He currently joins quarterbacks Jonny Miller, Luke Massa, Andrew Hendrix, A.J. Derby and Joseph Brennan as known uncommitted 2010 prospects with an offer from Wisconsin.

For what it's worth, Rivals.com has his ranked #34 for pocket-passing quarterbacks. jimmythegreek: Kaiser continued. "I really want to learn more about the program. Please tell me that is not true. No wonder we can't recruit top talent. When a kid is interested in the program we recommend that they check out the website.

Well, obviously no big loss if he's the #34 rated pocket passer. The positive part of this article is the badgers are re-estbaslishing a presence in the st louis area. That's a good thing. I always wondered why we moved away from that st louis and east coast pipeline that brought us alot of good players in the 90's/early 2000's.

Re: 2010 Football Recruiting
Not sure if you guys followed any of the links to the profiles of the other 5 qb's. bucky is going to head to head with some heavy hitters for all of them. Two of the five are from ohio, which seems to have become some fertile recruiting grounds for Joe Rudolph.

I hope Chryst does more than refer them to the website for university information as he did that kid from St. Louis. I doubt many top level recruiters subscribe to that practice.

Only an "objective" observer like the "guru" would take a quote from an article and use it to indict the entire program.

Yeah, you would never indict the whole program, that just isn't your style. You should be thrilled that they are referring the #34 ranked QB according to rivals to their website and not spending time on him that they could otherwise be using to recruit better talent

That and only using half of the quote. But that's his style around here.

In your initial post, you said nothing about the part of him going to Madison to meet with the coaches and see what the atmosphere is like. You only took the part about the website, that's what I was talking about Slim. Again, letting your agenda show.

No recruiter should EVER have a potential recruit just "look at the website" when he has questions about the program regardless of when or where he's visiting. That is unacceptable and probably the reason we've had Sherer, Donovan, Stocco and the rest of our quarterbacks the past few years. No excuse for that.

I guess gumbo boy isn't aware of dead periods in recruiting or the fact that there are even rules regarding recruiting. He is an SEC fan afterall.
Why is making a recruit aware of a website a bad thing to you? Is it because it'd involve the recruit being able to read? I hear that's not a requirement in the south...
