    Aubrey Huff?

He is a LH bat which we need, could play 3B or OF, Orioles wont win the East or get 2nd. Notorious hot weather hitter. What do you think?

I think there are almost certainly better ways to spend the resources we have.

Huff has an 8 million dollar contract this year, so figure you have to pick up 3-4 million of that depending on when you trade for him. Attanasio says there is money available, but if you make that deal and someone better (specifically a starting pitcher) comes along, then you're probably stuck unless that guy costs nothing. If you want the O's to pick up a big chunk of that salary, you probably have to give up a big prospect or two to make it happen, like the Dodgers did to get Casey Blake (they actually gave up less to get Manny, because they took on his salary).

It's not a terrible idea on the surface, but I don't think the cost would be worth the benefit of basically a bench upgrade.

The Brewers need a pitcher, not a hitter.

Sorry; those 2 shutouts this week got me confused

And we need a different left fielder because Ryan Braun went 0-for-4 and 0-for-3 before going on his 8-game hit streak.

I just think we need both; IMO

I would love to have a 3-6 of Fielder, Braun, Huff, McGhee. As it is now, once we get past Braun and Fielder it seems relatively hopeless. We have enough talent to get a Huff and Washburn and get 2 type A picks when they leave

Actually right now they use both.

Maybe the pitcher is a more immediate need.....but I am not entirely convinced even that is true.

Hardy's struggles have progressed beyond a poor start in my opinion, and Hart just hasn't adjusted at all to what pitchers started doing to him in the second half of last season.

Hall is finished and Counsell & Casey MAC cannot continue at their present paces offensively.

I mean we have Kendall leading off against right handed pitching.

If this guy goes for next to nothing while we are distracted in a bidding war for Halladay, I will be ticked. We need some offense badly!
