I would disagree about Dilweg. Certainly a smart enough guy upstairs, but he just short circuited on the football field for reasons that still mystify me to this day.  A little reminiscent of G Andy Cvercko who was a chemical engineering major out of Northwestern, but froze up on audible counts on the line of scrimmage. Wasn't for a lack of brains, but it's something else.
