Go back to 2006, he had two wins against winning teams, two!  The other ten were against losing teams.  The win over Arkansas was wonderful but it was not like, wow we really kicked butt today.

Does that mean you don't wish to count Arkansas?  Because there were actually 3 wins.  Purdue and Penn State make it 3.

    Your research is Swiss cheese

For BB haters, it isn't enough to win. You have to do it in a style that meets their internal criteria. I forgot when football began scoring like gymnastics. Poor dOSU with their unstylish NC. They should return it.

    Did you miss the point?

Yes....my rebuttals to your backward arguments are not registering with you, I see.

    Blinded by seething anger perhaps?

The point is.....there is little, if any difference between Alvarez and Bielema in terms of performance.  The program always vascillated under Alvarez...we've had three decent years under Bielema...the fourth year looks like something of a rebound....and next year could be an even better outcome.

You play anywhere from 5 to 7 teams with winning records every year.  If you win a total of 10 games, you'll almost always beat 3 or 4 teams with winning records.  If you win just seven, you probably can't win more than two.  It's really a dumb metric.

    Plus, your numbers are erroneous.

Pretty much on the money. And, as i stated, you are going to lose AT BEST half your games played against UM, IOWA, PSU, OSU, etc.

First, you are right UW had 3 wins against winning teams 2006.    If you want to be impressed by the easy schedule so be it.  I'm not. You are also right that he is 10 and 10 over the first three seasons against winning teams. By accident I counted losing to the worst Michigan team in my life time against him, shoot me.  BB is still just an average Joe at this point.

2006 Wins Purdue, Penn State and Arkansas Lost to Michigan

3 and 1 Hard to believe they only played 4 teams with a winning record out 13 games.  I wonder how they would fared had they played 7 or 8 teams with winning records.

2007 Wins The Citadel, Michigan State, Indiana, Michigan  Losses Illinois, Penn State, Ohio State, Tennessee

4 and 4 The wins against The Citadel and Indiana sure help balance out the numbers.

2008 Wins Fresno State, Minnesota, Cal Poly Losses Ohio State, Penn State, Iowa, Michigan State, Florida State

3 and 5 Thank God for Cal Poly

2009 Wins Northern Ill, Fresno State Losses Ohio State, Iowa

Nice to have Northern Ill on the schedule unless you're Purdue.

The wins against winning teams just aren't as impressive as the losses to winning teams is disturbing.  Not just because they're losses but because of the way they lose.  Michigan 2008, MSU 2008 due to a penalty on the coach, 2008 FSU, Iowa and Penn State blowouts, 2007 OSU and Penn State blowouts

Also, BB is not Barry.  BB didn't take a program from rock bottom and make it better.  He doesn't deserve a hall pass for much longer just because he's coaching Wisconsin.

Once again BB's record looks to be no more than average.  I'd like to see better and have serious doubts BB can take this program to the next level.

Gee...the same ranting and raving.  Haven't seen that.

So, why no explanation as to why Alvarez was so "ordinary" in his last 3 years that they are so remarkably similar to Bielema's first 3 years?

Once again, you're spasms fall well short.  Winning 20 more games than losing is not average no matter how hard you try.  Perhaps after 20 years that would be average...not after 3 1/2.  It's not great, it's not stellar.  It's good and it's above average.

Get over the bitterness.  He's going to be here for a little while.  It's too bad, but it's true.

Pretty simple, great/stellar is like 10 plus wins every year. Good someplace 8 or over per year.

LOL.  Now could you define for us what is a poor, average, stellar, great passer?

I was trying a sneak attack to get you to prove yourself wrong on the Tim Tebow topic.  But like most slippery snakes, you wriggled out of it.  LOL.

Speaking of memories, Bummer, why don't you refresh mine.  You say that all I have regarding LSU, Wisconsin and South Florida and Tim Tebow are memories.  What do you have from your college football teams other than memories?  I just want to see where you and me are so different in this area.  LOL.

I never said that. I made an analogy. But, once again, nice try. It is truly sad watching a once proud program fall apart.

Bummer, we've finally agreed on something.  It is sad to watch this program fall apart.  And to think it's a direct result of Barry too proud to let Brett Bielema go.  I don't even think he even interviewed anyone else.  This is a sad period in Badger history.
