So Where is the Silver Lining In This Loss?

for all those who kept saying that there was a silver lining in the OSU loss, do we have anyone taking this position after the loss this week?

Obviously ST didn't learn from last week.  Very disappointing.  The last INT was completely inexcusable.

We lost by 10 to the #11 team in the nation..shoulda been 7.

Silver lining: All the remaining games are winnable and we can still get 10 wins.

i agree.  so far the team this season hasn't shown me it is any different than last season.  following up a loss with another loss against ranked teams....seems like almost a repeat of last season.

after losing to OSU and PSU last season the season down-spiraled.  Let's see what happens now.  There is still time to salvage a good season.

There is still time for a good season.

The problem is with Ohio State by the short hairs there was time for a fantastic season.  Today, with Iowa by the short hairs there was time for a great season.

Now we have to beat Michigan, for a good season.

BB's Half time adjustment's. Replacing the QB after a nice Drive, just because it was in his Game plan,      the silver lining, even the staunchest BB supporter, has to say this Bozo is not going to win a big game .

totally agree with this, i was like WTH?!  we were up 10-0 and a change in QB?  The halftime adjustments UW made were in favor of Iowa.  Norm Parker totally out schemed Paul Chryst.

The difference from last year is you could have easily envisioned the team winning the past two games.  Other than the late loss against OSU, you couldn't have said that about the 2008 team.

Whether or not that's good enough is the question.  Personally, I need to see the rest of the season play out before I answer it.

Personally, I'll be rooting for them to lose out.

Cause the last thing I wanna hear is them talk about what a great season it was after they win 7-8 games and get blasted in some sh*tty bowl that nobody cares about.

This program needs to get back on track. That second half yesterday was humiliating.

    Silver lining?

It becomes crystal clear who those are that think they get it.

Awesome to see people bail after losing to two pretty tough teams.

Re: So Where is the Silver Lining In This Loss?

When UW got down to OSU after having the lead, they blew it.  When UW got down after having the lead against Iowa they blew it.  They almost blew late game leads against Minny, MSU and Norther ILL.

Should it really be any shocker that UW cannot hold a lead this year?

Nobody is bailing but what we are looking for is improvement from last year.  So far, even when UW was 4-0, I don't see it.

Could UW still win 8-games this year and finish 4-4 in conference play?  absolutely, but is that really any better than last year?
