Does JaMarcus Russell count? Or is he an outlier? LOL.
I like it Guru. That's a good one. Another overhyped SEC player. He will be run out of the league like Vince Young. Not good passer, but people fall in love with these guys - like Tebow. Not good, not good, not good. If you notice QB in the NFL is dying and its the proliferation of spread offenses that might be doing it. Good for college, bad for pros. My guess is you are going to have to go after guys from Delaware alot more

willie key:Another overhyped SEC player. It just goes to show, regardless of how good a quarterback is, he still needs a supporting cast to be effective. willie key:He will be run out of the league like Vince Young. I believe he's still playing in Tennessee.
willie key:Good for college, bad for pros. To be quite honest, I love college football and could really care less about the pros.

I understand but this is part of the argument. That's probably why you arent a good judge of a "passing QB". Does that make sense. Claussen is a good passing QB. Tebow is not. BTW you shouldnt argue semantics so much. Its tiring. That's why its only you and Baumer on this board most of the time. If you cant see Vince Young is about out of the league than you are just being a goof.

love discussing things related to college football. I don't talk
seriously with Bummer because he has a way about him not many people
like. Bummer has a way of going about conversations unlike anyone else
on this forum. If you don't see that, then you are also just being a
goof. willie key:Tebow is not.
Bummer
could never come up with any examples without dissecting Pat White,
Ryan White and Barry White to show this to be true. I look forward to
see your examples that prove that Tim Tebow is a poor passer.

Your example will be in the year 2010.

Maybe. If they get Iowa :) I'd love to see Iowa get in. I know we have a lot of football to play yet. But we could have an undefeated SEC champion. Undefeated Texas. Undefeated Iowa. Undefeated Cincinnati. Undefeated Boise State. Undefeated TCU at the end of the season. I know it won't happen this way. But wouldn't even a handful of undefeateds (is that even a word?) make for an interesting post-season and great argument against the BCS system?

Re: So Where is the Silver Lining In This Loss?
CollegeFootballGuru: thebaumer:White: Because you like to use stats. How else are we going to evaluate the use of them and their worthyness if we can't utilize on another player. Unless we compare TT's stats to another person's stats, the stats are just numbers and mean NOTHING. Geez, are you that dumb? Enlighten me. Explain to me how Pat White's stats prove that Tim Tebow was a poor passer.
They show that stats don't mean what you purport them to mean. Remember, guroo, you were the one who presented STATS to show that he is a good passer. All anyone has to do to disprove your argument is show that stats don't prove what you say they prove.
At that point, the original contention that he is a poor passer still holds. It is obvious you were never schooled in logic or debate.

jamarcus wasn't a good passer either. He had a huge arm and loads of potential.
But, using your stats means that he was, since he completed 67 percent, 28 tds, 8 ints, 167 qb passer rating.

LOL, Bummer. Nice try. I have said consistently that stats over an entire college career are telling of someone's passing "prowess". Way to take that statement out of context. LOL.

LOL. I haven't only used stats. I said I have also watched about 95% of his games since he's been in college. But what am I going to do, cut and paste every one of his games on here for you to watch?

LOL. Besides Pat White's stats and Ryan White's stats and Barry White's stats, have you done ANYTHING to PROVE that Tim Tebow is a POOR passer?

Re: So Where is the Silver Lining In This Loss?
thebaumer:Remember, guroo, you were the one who presented STATS to show that he is a good passer. I would prefer you to use anything related to Timothy Tebow (stats, video, interview.....) to prove that Timothy Tebow is a poor passer. According to your logic, stats cannot prove that someone is an adequate passer (and if you do, they obviously don't include completions, completion percentage, touchdown passes or QB rating.) But then let me ask you, how then, in your superior mind, can stats be used to prove someone is a poor passer? Remember, the original premise was the Tim Tebow is a poor passer. I am not, was not, will not attempt to prove he is a great passer. All I've argued is that he isn't a POOR passer. And I have done that. Unfortunately, to quote Jack Nicholson in that movie with Tom Cruise. "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!" LOL.

Yes. We got that. However, since we now know that TT's #s don't mean that much, in light of other qbs like Frazier and White, repeating that # means very little.
TT does get plenty of props for consistency, but that doesn't make him a good passer.

I'm sure you did watch every game. Drooling while rubbing yourself.
Funny how you never mentioned it till after you trotted out stats. So strange.
You still don't get it. I made the statement that he isn't a good passer. I don't have to PROVE he is poor. It is your job to refute the statement. If you can't do it, it certainly doesn't mean that i have to PROVE anything.
P.S. Dude, do actually think I think I could prove anything to you? I just enjoy watching you defend Tebow. I just *** around with you. You are even dumber than I thought.
P.P.S. Tebow is a poor passer. Sorry. Truth hurts.
I baited with Tebow and watched you run with it. LOL
