    Aaron Who?

    Just thought this was a little bit interesting;

    The Giants decided Friday to insert Aaron Rouse into the starting lineup at safety for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

    This happened early this week.  C.C. Brown, the former starter, was the favorite whipping boy for the Giants.  Rouse is on his second team this season, and was given to the Giants through waivers.  This is more of an indictment of Brown's failures, than Rouse's successes.

    I cut and pasted that Friday thing, you'd argue up was down. Post wasn't meant as an indictment on anything or anybody. Thanks for trowing the first one out there.

     Huh?  The point is Rouse is playing because the Giants suck at safety.  This whole "the Packers cut Guy A, and now Guy A is playing for someone else and starting, so the Packers must have been wrong" bit is old.  You tried doing it on the Anthony Smith thread too.

    Their starting safety sucked, and Rouse was still a backup to him.  Now if he makes one play tomorrow, you'll be the first on here to tell us that it was a mistake, and it will be gospel to you, no matter what mistakes he makes, or if he gets torched from here on out.  Rouse sucked, Smith sucked, but at least Anthony Smith could somewhat tackle.  Still doesn't change the fact that the freaking Rams couldn't even find playing time for him.

     The Giants defense is sucking up the league. They got nothing to lose. Hell, they'd probably give me a shot. I had 2 picks in my flag football game last week :)

    dsilby, ever thought of trying out for the Packers?  Sounds like they could use LB that can intercept a pass.

    Not surprising considering the way their others safeties have been burned this year. Rouse is a decent player in the right system. I don't think he fit the 3-4 as well as he does Coughlin's cover 2 and man over schemes.
