I hope the Brewers don't sign Washburn and I'm not much of a fan, but he would be an upgrade on the staff.. The Crew's number 2 starter last year was Braden Looper with a 5.22 ERA. Washburn has only posted an ERA above 5 once in his career, and that was 10 years ago. His career ERA is 4.10..
As much as I ...

There is no doubt that the offensive dropoff from Cam to Gomez is signifcant, you can't argue against that, but I also think it's hard for Lucroy and Escobar to do worse than Kendall/Hardy because they were that bad last year.. I think Escobar should be able to put up an .300 OBP and whoever the catcher(s) are next year wheteher ...

Radio, I think you're overreacting about the offensive loss, because you loved Cam, and that's fine, but you overreacting big time IMO. If we were losing Braun/Fielder I think you could panic. If you take all of Cam's HRs off the Brewers last year they still are like 5th in the NL in HRs and that would also be ...

I believe that Cameron is overrated, especially by this board (18.6 million dollar player, come on) but he is better than this Gomez character. If the guy got on base around .375 ...

This is the type of guy the Brewers need to go after this offseason. Not completely proven, but has shown some great talent and shouldn't cost that much.
The one thing that really bothers me about this news is if Jackson is indeed on the block, why wouldn't Melvin talked to them about Hardy??? They want and need a SS. ...

It is depressing to be a Wisconsin sport's fan these days. The Packer's have been a huge disappointment and it appears they are nowhere near being able to compete for a championship in the near future with the clown show running the organization over there. I hate the NBA, but it does appear the Bucks ...

I majored in Journalism last year at UW- Eau Claire, but after a year switched to a business major. It wasn't bad, but I switched because I figured it would be real hard to get a sport's writing job, especially given the economy. Journalism, especially sport's journalism, seems to be a real dog eat dog thing and tough to ...

Wow check this out!! Boston Globe writer Tony Masorrotti says the Red Sox were in on JJ Hardy and they offered Michael Bowden, but DM wanted Bucholz or Bard. And DM opted for Gomez over Michael Bowden! WTF! So I guess this answers our question about Hardy's value being that low. DM ...

I don't like this free agency market at all.
This is the wrong time to make a principled stand about "sacrificing offense for pitching."
[/quote] We'll see.
The market does seem to be getting better by the day, though I was hoping that either Hudson ...
